Our School

Welcome to the world of Harbour International... and what a special world it is!
​​​​Harbour International offers a primary education to children aged four to eleven years, which is designed to shape and develop them for the challenges of the 21st century. All lessons are taught in English with the opportunity for the pupils to learn about Dutch culture through visiting the many museums and attractions in the Rotterdam area. Harbour International is part of a Dutch national education foundation, subsidised by the Dutch government. This subsidy allows us to offer high quality international education at a competitive price.

About us
Pupils attending Harbour International represent a wide variety of nationalities and educational backgrounds. What they have in common is studying the English language. Our staff are experienced teachers who provide a broad, balanced curriculum aimed at developing the pupils' knowledge, skills and understanding. Our staff continues to develop their teaching skills through professional development courses both in The Netherlands and abroad. 

History
Harbour International was established in 1987 with 21 pupils. The school has grown in size and stature. As teachers of international children we have the opportunity to make a difference. Together with parents, we are one of the most important influence in the lives of the children we teach.
